  Constructing Your Home
 DSCF0918.JPG
Touchstone Homes wants you to enjoy the construction process as we build your new home. The construction of your new Touchstone home differs from other manufacturing processes in several ways that we will highlight below.

The sequences and steps listed can change if you purchased a home that is already under construction.  Some meetings will not be applicable as construction is already past that point; and some schedules may be different based on adding or removing items that you have requested in your home at the time of contract.

Preconstruction Conference
You will have the opportunity to meet with your builder during the Preconstruction meeting. This is a 60 to 90 minute meeting helps confirm changes to your plan from your contract and the Design Studio, and to conduct a comprehensive review of your final plans and specifications as well as the building process itself.

Safety
We understand that you will want to visit your new home during construction.  A new home construction site is exciting and can also be dangerous. Your safety is of prime importance to us. Therefore, we must require that you contact Touchstone Homes before visiting your site.

Frame Tour
This is a short, scheduled meeting with your builder that allows an opportunity to confirm that we are correctly installing the options you ordered or approved changes you requested. We will also update you on the target delivery date during the frame tour.

Plans and Specifications
No two homes are exactly alike, even when they are the same plan.  City building departments, architectural control committees, updated plans and specifications, and updates in new materials are only a few of the factors that can cause variations between a model home you viewed and the home we deliver to you.

Single Source
Touchstone Homes is a single source company. That means that we select all personnel and companies who will contribute to your home. We order all materials and products from suppliers with whom we have established relationships. Although sweat equity arrangements are unavailable as a part of our purchase agreement, you are welcome to add your personal touches to the home after you close and take possession of it.

Trade Partners
In order to ensure you the Touchstone Homes standard of construction, only authorized suppliers, trade partners, and Touchstone Homes employees are permitted to perform work in your home.

If you are considering any changes please discuss these with your sales agent and not the trade partners.  Suppliers and trade partners have no authority to enter into agreements for Touchstone Homes.
